Old business: Acceptance of March’s meeting minutes

Old Business:

Bead Expo, May 2, 3 & 4 at the Phoenix Convention Center: We have enough people to cover the tables for all three days.

Demo Day: A big thanks to Fire & Friends Z Studios for offering their space free of charge. Also, bring any glass related items you’d like to sell in the Demo Day Garage Sale.

Bead Inspired Event: Carol Saker thanked everyone for their help with Bead Inspired. Between the Scottsdale and Tucson events an estimated $13,000 was raised for Beads of Courage.

New business:

Calendars: The group discussed different ways of doing the 2009 calendar and improvements.

Raffle Jar: The donation jar is filling up nicely.

Special Events: Adiel had the idea of making a lampworking history display and making modern day versions of ancient beads.

Bead Challenge/Exchange: May - Under the Sea themed beads. June - Food themed beads. July - Mermaids- Quarterly Stretch, only need to make 1 bead to exchange.

Treasurer’s report: Old Balance- $3532.42. Beads of Courage reimbursements - $141.75. Received $135.00 for New Member Dues. Bank Service Fee - $8.00. New Balance - $3801.17

Next Meeting Dates: May 18th - Demo Day at Fire & Friends Z Art Studios. Time 9:00 - 5:00. Cost to be announced. Christine Sutter will host June’s meeting and Kiersten Kern will host July’s.
